Skipper Dan Gilbride won the toss and batted first on a warm evening at DHCC.


Openers Gilbride and Gemmell quickly moved the score on to 79. Jack Gregory then came in and added 36* to the total. Skipper Gilbride hit 7 sixes and 7 fours but was agonisingly bowled in the last over one short of a ton finishing on 99 from 69 balls, with Dove posting 168-2.


In reply the visitors got of to a blistering start bring 100 up in 10.4 overs. It was very much game on until Gilbride picked up the wicket of Kennedy who had hit 50 off 29 balls. This sparked a period of regular wickets which would leave Birch Vale 29 runs short all out for 141. Pick of the bowlers James Gemmell 3-27 and man of the match Dan Gilbride 4-12.


Dove travel to Whaley in a couple of weeks for the next T20 game.
