Seconds Lose In Hawke

On a sunny day at Newton, Dove captain Pete Johnson won the toss and elected to bat. Unfortunately Dove Holes looked like the winter break had effected with them with losing 5 wickets in 12 overs to leave them 30 for 5. Things didn’t improve much more with the team being all out for 93. Most of the runs coming in the 10th wicket partnership between Chris Poulton and Keiron Collins. With the ball Dove started brightly with Dan Waterhouse and Reece Johnson keeping it tight but the early break through never happened. Newton made comfortable work of the run chase knocking it off for one wicket. Back to the training ground for the second team.
