Match Report | Weekend Round Up

The First Team hosted Mottram on a rainy Saturday. Skipper Gregory once again won the toss and elected to bowl. A fantastic opening stand of 158 from Mottram allowed the visitors to build to 238-4. The wickets were spread amongst the bowlers. Rain interruptions meant that Dove would only have 32 overs to bat in reply. This was never going to be enough to chase the total but Dove protected the draw and their unbeaten start to the season finishing 44-3.

The Second Team travelled to Tintwistle, won the toss and inserted the home side. This was the correct call as Tinsle were dismissed for just 71, K Collins 3-4 and K Waterhouse 3-8 pick of the bowlers. In reply Dove raced to the target inside 12 overs with skipper Hawkes leading the side home, finishing unbeaten on 34.
