The First Team travelled to Woodley on a warm, muggy day and elected to bat after skipper Gregory finally won a toss!
Openers Jones (34) and Vernon (32) put on an opening stand of 69, skipper Gregory top scored with 55 and Gilbride hit 37 not as Dove posted 237-6.
In reply, hosts Woodley benefited from a couple of dropped catches as skipper Webb smashed 154 not out and the total was reached with 4 overs spare.
The Seconds won the toss and with a strong side elected to bat first. Dove however lost regular wickets, numerous batsmen made starts but struggled to kick on as they posted 166 all out, MT (25), Skipper (27) & Keith (28 not out) main contributors.Â
In reply, Woodley were blown away by Dan Waterhouse 4-25 and Ben Bagshaw 4-6 as they were all out for just 75.
On Sunday The First Team travelled, for the first time, to Pott Shrigley, who won the toss and elected to bat. Opening bowlers Gilbride 6-14 and Critchlow 3-13 reduced the hosts for just 54.
In reply openers Gemmell (24) and Vernon (31) knocked the runs off in just 7.1 overs.
The Second Team were due to play Birch Vale in the Quarter Final of the Hawke Trophy but the opposition conceded.
