In form Dove hosted Woodley in the final home match of the shortened Covid season and were asked to field as the visitors won the toss.
At 30-4 this looked to be the wrong call and despite Gilbride 5-23 Woodley went on to post 171ao.
In reply Dove crumbled to 81ao and a 90 run defeat.
Next week Dove travel to Tintwistle in the penultimate game of the season.
