Dove Holes win by 8 runs
Dove hosted Hayfield on a day where the weather threatened to be the only winner but instead we were treated to a thrilling encounter.
Visitors Hayfield won the toss and asked Dove to bat first but found Dan Gilbride (55) and Ben Bagshaw (67) in fine form as the host hit 202-8 in the 40 overs.
In a tense reply skipper Sean Critchlow (3-33) and Ben Bagshaw (3-53) restricted the visitors to 194 just 8 runs short of the target. Special mention to Keegan who was excellent behind the stumps picking up valuable victims including an outstanding direct hit which sealed the win for Dove.
No cricket at DHCC next weekend we travel to Stalybridge after back to back wins.
