After a rain delay the First Team won the toss and elected to bat against New Mills in a 34 over game.
After a steady start New Mills picked up the wicket of opener Joe Gregory and were immediately reduced to ten men as their skipper, who had just taken the catch, was taken away by police!!!
Dove went on to post 142-4 Dan Jones and Skipper Gregory both hit 47. In reply Cory Flint ripped through the top order with 3-40. The New Mills middle order rallied taking the chase close before The Duke mopped up the tail with 4-30. New Mills ended up 15 runs short on 127 all out.
The Second Team won the toss and inserted New Mills who were dismissed for just 81 in 29 overs. Dan Waterhouse 3-26 and Kieran Collin 4-10 with the damage. In reply Dove reached the target for the loss of 3 wickets Paul Scowen 36.
The win leaves Dove 39 points clear with two games to play 2 points next week will secure the title.
