After heavy overnight rain we arrived at the ground to find no puddles but a wet wicket and unsurprisingly Dove were inserted to bat after Grego lost another toss!
Dove made a bright start reaching 40 without loss however no batsmen got going and Mottram picked up regular wickets as Dove were all out for 125 Joe Gregory top scoring with 27.
After a good feed Dove were fired up and opening bowlers Dan Gilbride 3-32 and Sean Critchlow 2-22 bowled their 12 overs on the bounce superbly putting Dove right in the game. After a great direct hit run out from Gilbride it was down to Dave & Skipper Jack to mop up the tail as Mottram were dismissed for 107 sparking jubilant scenes!
The Seconds travelled to Tintwistle to find another wet track. Dove bowled first and dismissues the hosts for 88 Dan Waterhouse pick of the bowlers 4-14 from 10 overs.
In reply Dove struggled and reached the target 8 wickets down to keep the title charge on track!
