Dove Holes win by 58 runs
Dove hosted Newton who won the toss and asked Dove to bat first. Despite losing a couple of early wickets Dove rebuilt the innings with Dan Jones hitting 71, Tom Forder 39 and Ben Bagshaw 31. Dove finished the innings on 225 all out.
In a spirited reply the visitors chipped away at the total but three wickets a piece for Dan Gilbride (3-32) and Dan Waterhouse (3-31) saw Newton all out for 167, 58 runs short.
Division Two
Charlesworth 183ao v Dove Holes 117ao
Charlesworth win by 66 runs
The Second Team travlled to face Charlesworth First Team and asked the hsots to bat first. A superb spell from Ted Johnson 3 for 56 and Paul Scowen 3 for 31 meant Charlesworth were all out for 183.
In reply, Keegan Ridgeway top scored with 28 but Dove were all out for 117, 66 runs short of the total.
Bissenden Cup Final
Dove Holes 85 ao v Woodley 136/8
Woodley win by 51 runs.
Dove travelled to New Mills to face Woodley in the Bissenden Cup Final. Woodley won the toss and batted first.
Dove bowled superb, Sean Critchlow 3 for 29 and Dan Waterhouse 2 for 10 in an 8 over spell which included 6 maidens, were pick of the bowlers as Dove restricted Woodley to 136/8.
It proved to be enough as Dove lost regular wickets and with only 3 players hitting double figures, and with extras comfortably top scoring, Dove were all out for 85.
Dove Holes were unable to win back to back Bissenden Cups but had a great cup run, congratulations to Woodley on the win.
