Broadbottom win by 38 runs
Dove travelled to Broadbottom who won the toss and batted first on a warm and sunny day. Dove got off to a great start picking up a wicket with the first ball of the innings and things got even better as the hosts were reduced to 34/4. Sean Critchlow picking up 3 wickets for 47 runs.
A 124 run partnership for the 5th wicket stalled Dove and despite 3 for 37 from Dave Cartledge and 3 for 26 from James Gemmell, the hosts posted 198 all out, helped by 31 extras.
In reply, Dove lost early wickets and were also reduced to 34/4. Ben Bagshaw hit 32 and James Gemmell 37 boosted the total but Dove were all out for 160, 38 runs short of the target.
Division Two
Dove Holes 160/9 v Hollingworth 162/4
Hollingworth win by 6 wickets
The Second Team hosted Hollingworth First Team and batted first on a glorious day with the ground in fantastic shape.
Rob Hawkes hit 35 and Mark Hill 25 as Dove went passed 150, youngsters Kian Vernon (17 not out) and Dan Gibson (8 not out) ensured that Dove batted the overs finishing on 160/9.
In reply, the hosts raced towards the target and despite 2 wickets from Rob Hawkes, Hollingworth made it home inside 26 overs, finishing on 162/4.
