Dove Holes win by 60 runs

Dove travelled to Old Glossop and were asked to bat by the hosts.


Opener Shaun Cartledge hit 21 but Dove were reduced to 60-5. The Dove middle order steadied the ship, James Gemmell hit 53 and was supported by Mark Turner (24) as Dove posted 168.


In reply, the hosts were blown away by the pace of Sean Critchlow (4 for 23) and guile from Dave Cartledge (4 for 32) and were all out for 108, Dove winning by 60 runs.


Division Two

Dove Holes 27ao v Whaley Bridge 28/2

Whaley Bridge win by 8 wickets


The Second Team host Whaley Bridge First Team and elected to bat first.


Dove had no answer to the Whaley attack and were all out for just 27. Cory Flint picked up another two wickets but the visitors reached the target inside 7 overs.

National Village Cup

Derbyshire Final

Dove Holes 169ao v Rolleston 172/4


Dove hosted Rolleston in the area final of the National Village Cup, won the toss and batted first.


Joe Gregory hit 36 and Jack Gregory 32 as Dove were all out for 169.


In reply, Dove struggled to get a break through and impressive, sensible batting saw the visitors reach the target for the loss of just 4 wickets.


Good luck to Rolleston who make the short trip to South Wales in the next round!
