How the T20 was won

Dove had never previously made it to Finals Day but went all the way in 2021, here is how it was won.


Dove were placed in Group D alongside neighbours Chapel, Whaley Bridge, Birch Vale and Hayfield. There was the introduction of a quarter finals stage which meant the top two from each Group would progress to the next stage.


Dove had several impressive wins and managed to beat Hayfield in a tight final which was played at New Mills.


With the bat the following players hit over 100 runs: James Gemmell 224 including 2 50s, one in the final, Dan Gilbride 153 including a 99! Ben Bagshaw 142 including a 50 and Jack Gregory 114. Joe hall also hit a 50 and scored 98 runs.


With the ball Dan Waterhouse picked up 12 wickets, Dan Gilbride 10 wickets and James Gemmell picked up 9 wickets.
