We take a look back at a memorable season which had everything, 100s, 5 wicket hauls, 10 wicket wins, a few close games but no defeats! During the 2021 season Dove Holes Cricket Club went the whole season unbeaten winning 15 out of 15 games. Dove impressively only dropped 27 points all season finishing on 273 points some 50 points clear of 2nd place Newton.
With the Bat, Mark Turner led the way with an impressive 447 runs at an average of 44.7. Both Rob Hawkes (258) and Mick Johnson (258) also scored over 250 runs. We had some notable individual performances: Adam Critchlow hit 114 away at Hayfield, Mark Vernon hit 74 against Dinting and Mark Turner 74 away at Hollingworth. Dan Walker, coming in at number 10, smashed 72 from just 38 balls to help Dove to a vital win against league rivals Newton.
We also had three 100 run partnerships two of which secured 10 wicket wins for Dove:

With the Ball, Cory Flint bowled superb all season picking up an impressive 40 wickets. Kev Waterhouse also had a fruitful season picking up 37 league wickets, which included three 5 wicket hauls. Cory had two 5 wicket hauls and Dan Walker had one.

Behind the stumps, Keegan Ridgeway had a brilliant season with the gloves picking up 11 catches and 7 stumpings, his 18 league victims should see him crowned top keeper in Division Three. Rob Hawkes had 7 grabs & Kieran Collins 6 as Dove were superb in the field all season.
