Brian Jones

It is with great sadness that the club announces the passing of our former Chairman, Brian Jones.

Brian was a dedicated member and supporter of Dove Holes Cricket Club for over 50 years. He took immense pride in watching his son, Rob, and grandsons, Dan and Kieran, represent the club from junior through to senior level, as well as at district competitions.

A familiar and friendly face, Brian followed Dove both home and away and could often be found watching from the top fence, offering words of encouragement and advice to players “doing a lap,” alongside the late Cliff Goddard and Jasper Goodwin.

Beyond his love for the game, Brian was a passionate fundraiser and played a key role in driving forward the opening of our new pavilion.

Brian’s commitment, warmth, and presence will be deeply missed by everyone at the club.
