Dove Holes win by 74 runs

Dove travelled to Hayfield and were asked to bat on a warm sunny day. Tight bowling from the hosts restricted Dove to 53-3 before opener Dan Gilbride (40) and Shaun Cartledge built the innings carrying Dove to 102-4. Shaun Cartledge batted well hitting 65 and he was supported by James Gemmell who hit 49 as Dove went on to post 224/8.

In reply, the hosts made a great start but a flurry of wickets pegged them back. Dave Cartledge 3 for 53 made the break through. Dan Waterhouse bowled a fine 12 over spell 3 wickets for 46 as Hayfield were all out for 150, 74 runs short of the target.

Division Two

Dove Holes 155ao v Buxworth 159/2

Buxworth win by 8 wickets

The Second Team host Buxworth First Team and the visitors asked Dove to bat first. Opener Paul Scowen hit 30 and Keegan Ridgeway anchored the innings with 21. Kieran Jones scored 36 along with 27 extras as Dove were all out for 155.

In reply, Buxworth raced towards the target, Kieran Collins picked up the first wicket with the score on 54 and Wayne Collins the second wicket with Buxworth close to the target on 149. The visitors reached 155, two wickets down inside 28 overs.
